AQ Roses

All Rosa Plaza roses are grown at our Ethiopian company, AQ Roses PLC (Ammerlaan Quality Roses). In 2006, the first 18 hectare has been constructed, followed by an expansion of 20 hectares in 2008 up to 38 hectares. Currently more than 1200 people are employed at our company. AQ Roses is constructed at the project of Sher in Ethiopia. Sher Ethiopia is a very prestigious project and we are proud to be part of this. This project also gives us some big advantages like good transport of the roses which is again very beneficial for the quality of the roses.

The roses produced by AQ Roses have outstanding and reliable quality, because of the nice bud size, excellent colours and a remarkable good vase life. The roses are sold under the trademark Rosa Plaza, in the recognizable black sleeve.

AQ Roses is always searching for new developments to produce flowers with a better quality in an even more sustainable way. A nice example is the implementation of IPM programs with biological control of pests and diseases to minimize the use of agrochemicals.
